Evaluation

This website is very simple,all it did is just to tell people that there is the existence of this crocodile farm and some information about them.

Its design also very easy, its home page only have a big title of "Singapore Crocodile farm" and a navigation bar at the bottom. Its only contrast i would say is the big words that says " Singapore Crocodile Farm". It does'nt attract any interest of the vistors to click the navigation bar and visit the rest pages of the website.

The website is not very user-friendly, what it does is only provide information of the crocodile farm, as show in the navigation bar. All the information given is not sufficient, for example under their product, they did not show pictures of their product sold, all they did is just describe what they sell in their show room.

But i think it has a good colour combination, Gold go well with grey. The home page without the navigation bar is more of a splash page than a home page to me.

Repetition is observed for the sub pages

Although the website is very simple, it too apply web design principles of alignment and proximity, shown above the pictures are seperated from the text, and there are spaces between each paragraph, & all texts are left- aligned. But 1 thing, i feel that the words is too small, although it can be zoom in, but i feel that it is troublesome, it would be better if the words are biggers

I personally feel that it has unique design for its sub pages, the only things is just that its design look dull with only grey and white.

Overall I think this website fail to attract vistiors to the crorcodile farm.. More things could be added to the website, such as more pictures to attract vistiors, not like having only 2 pictures in every subpage.

How does this apply to my website ??

Having a contrast are important in order to attract vistor's attention and interest in exploring the site. Pictures are required to attract to vistiors attention to the website, especially website that are design for places. Sufficient information are also important, in order to have a user-friendly website for the users' usage. Colour combination is very important to attract the vistors' attraction. To have a user-friendly website, is to minimize the trouble the vistor having visiting the website.

Evaluation

This website has an interesting layout, in which i believe vistor would visit this website again. Its colour combination are wisely choose, and this design suite their purpose of having this website. Example sideshow animation and change the picture of the 2 dogs to



I think these few picture of pets are contrast of the home page, it successfully attract the vistor's attention and convey the message that the website is something regarding pets.

This website i would say is user-friendly, there are many things that can be done on the website, as shown on the navigation bar of the website, for example adopting a pet or making a donation. And the colour of the navigation bar goes well with the website. The orange part of navigation bar is when the mouse hover over it, i think it look natural with light blue navigation bar.

The website do also observe repetition through out the whole website.

How does this apply to my website ??

I have learnt from this website that simple layout do look good, is just the colour combination that matter. It does'nt meant that only complicated layout would attract reader. This website have lot of informations and things that can be done on this web. This helps me to make sure that i don't just concentrate on the design layout, but more on the information. Simplicity is the best~!
